THE LAWRENCE PARK ART COLLECTIVE
Supporting & Empowering Artists
Created in early 2019, the Lawrence Park Art Collective is comprised of artists working in a variety of mediums, all of whom are local to Lawrence Park, Toronto.
Inspiration and Creativity
The Lawrence Park Art Collective was founded by local artists. We started the kind of collective that we were searching for – one that brings artists together regularly to share and build the knowledge we need to achieve our creative goals.
Interested in joining us? CONTACT US we review memberships in January / February.
Lawrence Park Art Collective is made up of emerging & experienced talented artists.
Abstract Artist - Founding Member
Concentrating on abstract work I search for visual balance in colour & texture, using a variety of media & substrates. I am highly experimental & unafraid to try new ideas.
I love to work on a large scale and my pieces can be seen in businesses and homes throughout North America and Europe.
Abstract Artist - Founding Member
I paint because I love hanging out with colours, shapes, and textures. Learning how to tame and channel that creative energy is a challenging and rewarding process. Although I fit my painting in around a full-time job and family, art continues to open doors to new worlds, people, and opportunities.
Acrylic Painter - Group Secretary
I am a Toronto based artist but have lived in many places including Boston, Washington DC, and Chicago. I am inspired by travel, light, colour, my three children and two dogs. My paintings are like snapshots of people and places and I hope they convey what I was feeling in those moments.
While I’ve had a lifelong interest in art, more recently, I felt the pull to actively engage in creativity and began painting in 2018. I’m driven to paint landscapes through my love of the outdoors and a deep gratitude for the beauty and perfection that surrounds us in nature.
Oil & Acrylic Painter
As a lifelong lover of art, I am always inspired by new ways of exploring my creativity. I am an acrylic and oil painter who loves to dabble in different styles, but whose heart belongs to realism. I love contemporary minimal compositions and enjoy the struggle in capturing real life objects with paint.
Acrylic & Watercolour - Representational Artist
As a child, I loved colouring and drawing. I studied art through high school but went on to study business at the University of Toronto.
I have worked in watercolour, pencil, oil and acrylic, currently primarily in acrylic. I am inspired by the colours and beauty found in nature and through my travels.
Fine Art Photographer
For me, photography is a form of meditation, focusing on the present moment. Finding subjects that command my attention and instill a sense of calm or contemplation. Photography removes me temporarily from the outside world and it’s constant demand for my attention. Every time I return to it, I am reminded of its power to transform.
The co-mingling of Post Impressionism and Abstract Expressionism styles was a natural transition from reality, watercolour Plein-Air painting, to a more “emotional memories”, studio style, of fluid bold strokes, vivid colours and textures inspired by my love of nature. I hope my art speaks to you!

Collage and Mixed Media
Ruth is a Toronto based artist who was surrounded by visual art and art books growing up. She views art as a portal to a world where freedom of expression and exploration is limitless. Ruth is drawn to the medium of collage and making artwork out of pieces of paper often overlooked or thrown away. Collage allows her to assemble fragments of lost imagery into a brand new narrative.
Landscape and Abstract Artist
I’ve always been in awe of the wonders that Mother Nature presents. Using oil, acrylics and pastels I interpret the landscapes that I encounter in a fresh perspective that is bold and colourful. Recently I have been exploring life’s moments using colour, shape and texture.
Lisa Litowitz is a local Toronto artist who paints at Project Art- a co-op studio on Queen Street West. After many years in the fashion industry she is a second-career artist!
Lisa has shown her work in galleries and local shows: NTGA Studio Tour, ArtWalk, Propeller Gallery, Arta.
FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHER
It was a natural step from 30 years of written communications to visual storytelling with my camera. I’m an opportunistic photographer. I seek out little mysteries in mundane, daily occurrences, and watch for stories in urban and ancient landscapes. In an increasingly noisy universe, I want my photography to create a quiet corner of silence for you.
Sheila has been described as an atmospheric painter and loves using surprising and unusual colour combinations to create energy and emotion. She is strongly influenced by the patina that the passage of time leaves on everyday structures and objects.
JACQUELYN SLOANE SIKLOS
Artist: Painting and Photography
I am a Toronto-based artist working in painting abstracts and abstract landscapes and photography where I focus on abstract and evocative travel imagery.
Why both? I find it hard to do one without the other.
You can find my work online at Minted.com, or at Canvas gallery in Toronto.
DAVID HARVEY CARMICHAEL
Oil Painter, Abstract Impression Landscape
Born and raised in the pastoral Kawartha region of Ontario, David grew up in a rural setting. He formed an early and strong connection with the landscape and nature which inspires his work. Drawn to the arts from an early age, his post-secondary studies focused on art and graphic design. Professionally, David has been an award-winning graphic designer and brand developer for over thirty years. Having recently returned to painting, David is exploring his past and depicting the memories of youth. Broad, energy-filled brush strokes create images full of emotion.
I am a line. I start where I cannot see and end where I am yet to go. There is chaos on my way. I ebb, I fall, I twist, I hide. I stop to take a breath, taking in all the particles around me. Soon, I need to move on.
Abstract Artist, Emerging Artist, Mixed Media
Hello! Thank you for your curiosity in my artwork!
My art is driven by the creative process and inspired by the exquisiteness of nature. My mixed media paintings depict the essence of raw earthly substances, fluidity and femininity. I paint in a variety of mediums, primarily acrylic and resin. I enjoy merging the balance of rough and soft, raw and polished, feminine and masculine. My artwork is texturized with materials such as glass, semi-precious stones, chains, and bark, to arouse the tactile senses. I am an emerging self-taught artist, who resides in Toronto. I have shown my work at the Leslie Grove Gallery, Queen West Art Crawl, local retailers and the Bayview Art Tour in Toronto.
Digital Paint, Acrylics, Mixed Media
It can happen when - OH! - I see bare branches etched in gold against a winter sky. Or when a luscious peony - WOW! - unfurls in ecstatic abandon. I can even be stopped short by an evocative crack in the sidewalk. I hurry home, compelled to capture the fleeting moment in line and colour, and to share its magic with you.

An Artist Lives Here Campaign
During the COVID-19 stay at home, we, as a collective, are still producing and creating beautiful artworks individually. We want to share this with our community in a safe and responsible way.
Inspired by the number of 'Rainbow Walks' and 'Bear Hunts' we see happening in our neighbourhoods, we wanted to add a little cheer to the days of those walking and driving our streets. Hence the 'An Artist Lives Here ' Campaign.
The concept is simple, and we hope any artist, in our collective or not, will take part. Simply download the flyer HERE and post it in your window, on your porch, on your balcony...you may want to add a piece of art alongside - up to you!
The more we can spread this simple message throughout the arts community, the better!
